In Her Mind

She swayed on the top of the world
Never heeding the ground waiting below her.
Watching the white owls flying around her
She seemed to shine in the pale moonlight.
A soft breeze blew past
Tousling her hair.
She heard a man's voice from far away
Telling her to come and take her hand.
Focusing intently on the voice
She turned her head.
Behind her stood her knight
On his prancing white stallion.
His hand was stretched out
Beckoning to her,
Calling for her to take hold.
As she gazed into his eyes,
His white stallion gradually turned darker.
No longer was he a prince on a white horse,
But her lifelong captor
Holding both her heart and body in his hands.
In terror she stared at him
Never daring to move.

The cool wind whipped around her body
Cooling, refreshing, caressing.
She turned back, facing the wind
Ignoring the voice of her captor.
She stared, entranced as she watched the owls,
Twirling and dipping in the wind.
Before long, the man's voice died away
And she was alone
With the wind
And the birds.
Her dress billowed out like wings
And she leaned into the wind.
Soon she was airborne
Flying with the birds
Before she fell down
Down into the arms
Of the waiting ground below her.

Jane Eyre

So, I was watching the new Jane Eyre movie on PBS last night. They really suck. I don't wanna wait an entire week to see the second half!!! *pout* However, it's pretty good so far.

People spend a long time trying to analyze guys and whether or not they can "hint" like girls.. hehehe. Well, if we'd stop trying to analyze them so much and treat them like equals, you'd be amazed what we could learn. It's quite interesting really. Throughout the entire thing almost, MR. Rochester is hinting.

I think it's mostly quantity vs. quality. Girls hint more, thus the quantity. But guys can have better quality hinting because they do it less.

Most of this sounded better in my head. ;P I just can't explain it to ya'll as well cuz you just wouldn't understand.

Dusting

When dusting, it is best to keep your mouth closed. Especially when you're looking up to watch what you're doing.

In fact, in most cases, keeping your mouth closed is best.

Definitely.

Language, Part II

So, many of you had questions about.. iono.. stuff. ;P

My mom said this: People who use those kinds of words have two problems. They have no emotional control, and they have a very limited vocabulary.

Honestly, if you have self control, you won't need to use those kinds of words. Also, some of them may not be completely bad. They have real definitions like any other word. However, honestly, you don't need to be filling your minds with the things those words speak of. God gave you the power to know right from wrong and what you should or shouldn't do. Seek his guidance if you still have questions. Seek self control. Be a good example so that one day you may hear him say "well done, my good and faithful servant."

Think about your lifestyle. The way you live, treat people, speak. Would God really say that to you?

To the One Who First Introduced me to Josh Groban

Addison. I must admit that he has a good voice. And I really do enjoy his songs. Now, whenever I hear one of his songs or anyone talking about him, I think of you. ;P

Language

WARNING: This post may contain offensive material as I will be inserting cuss words. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I know most people don't read my long posts, but this is one that I really really really want you all to read. Now that I've posted it, I won't accept any excuses for hypocritical behavior.

I'm sure many of you have heard of the middle school girl that threatend President Bush on her MySpace. The Secret Service immediately visited her to confront her about it. Suppose she had said she didn't know it was wrong or even dangerous. Do you honestly think the secret service men would have cared? It was her duty to know what is okay to do and what is not okay.

In the same way, I believe that it is our duty as Christians to know what is allowed and what is not. Sadly, many Christians today act just the same as everyone else. They use the same language and lead the same lifestyles... with one exception. They claim to follow the one true God. For some strange reason, hypocrites really bug me.

God says a lot about what should come out of your mouth. If you're a Christian, you should know what's allowed and what's not! I'm sorry if I start sounding really mean.. or angry. The honest truth is, I'm really angry right now and it's really hard to keep self-control.

I will now go through a breakdown of the words that we use. I am using Dictionary.com for many of my definitions since it is the most modern and up-to-date resource I have access to.

No doubt many of you know the usage and definition of the word 'damn.' If you look up the definition, it pretty much says it's a curse/swear word. Since people didn't want to say such a bad curse word, they decided to say a different one instead. Now, at a Christian school, most students say 'dang' instead. You'll never guess what the definition of 'dang' is. One word- 'damn.'

'Hell' is used as a cuss word. Kinda making fun of Christianity's belief in the real hell.
Heck- euphemistic alteration of hell

Gosh- euphemistic alteration of God
Gee- alteration of Jesus

Freak or Freaking- euphemistacally echoing frigging and fucking
Frig- to have sexual intercourse; to masturbate
Fuck- have sexual intercourse with

You know what, I'm not going to say much more. I'm worn out. I'm tired of talking about this. I want you to look at those words and ask yourself three things. Would using these words build up or tear down my Christian testimony? By using these words, am I harming others by causing them to view me as a hypocrite? Would God use, or want me to use, the words that I am using?

I wrote about how a certain person asked me to formal... lol. It was quite interesting.

"paul said...
glad you found someone other then me. tell the guy that your cousin PAUL says thank you. "

Well, first of all, I never told him thank-you. Lol... and... I'm still waiting for someone to take me to formal. *dies laughing* sorry, Paul, haven't found anyone worthwhile yet. ;P

Talkative

It's really hard when you love to talk, but cannot say what you are feeling. There is so much that I want to say.. so many feelings that want to burst to the surface. Yet, I cannot.

Thus, this post will be brief to let you know that I am still alive and intact. I must keep it short lest I say too much once again... ...

Looking Back

Well, I was reading some of my old posts and the comments that follow after.

It's amazing how "immature" I was back then. My posts sound so lighthearted and happy. The comments were fun... what happened?

Oh yeah, I decided to start grow up. So many people think that being "mature" is so cool. It sucks.

Perhaps I will go into the past and resurface some of the old posts.. who knows.

The Purple Door

Her friends were all sitting on the floor playing different board games. She had just been to the kitchen to dispose of her paper plate and cup. Now she stood in the doorway watching her friends sorrowfully. All of a sudden, she saw the beautiful purple door that led to the outside world. In an instant she knew what she had to do- leave. She gathered up her stuff and headed for the door. Just as she was reaching for the doorknob, her friends looked up and called her name. She looked back for an instant as they asked her what she was doing. "I'm leaving," she replied. "It's time for me to move on in my life and mature."
"Oh, please don't go! We need you! Come play with us again!"
Caught up by their pleas and pouts she put her stuff down and once more joined her friends. Noone could tell by the happy look on her face that she hid grinding pain inside.

A month later, she could stand it no longer. Once more she saw the door. She picked up her stuff and walked to the door. Once more they begged her to stay. This time she knew that she could not be held down anymore. "Come with me," she begged. "I don't want to move on alone."
"No! There is no need to move on. We are happy where we are. Come back and join us."
When she did not move in either direction, they returned to their games and soon forgot her. She turned sadly and opened the beautiful purple door. Silent and alone she walked outside and closed the door behind her. She turned back for one last sorrowful look and noticed how ugly the door looked from this side. Hoping that her friends would rush out to join her, she waited. When noone came, she turned toward the world and began her long, lonely journey.

Thus are Loners born.

"Bloody Californians" ~Addison Todd

*looks at Deborah and dies laughing*

Anyways, to get back on topic now. *laughs more* sorry..

Many people have this skewed perception of Californians. Californians are the most dangerous drivers. Californians are the most sinful people in all of the United States. Californian girls are all flirtatious sluts. All the boys are good-for-nothing and spend all their time at the beach sunbathing with girls.

*disgusted look aimed at Addison*

I shall deal with them one at a time.

Californian drivers may be crazy drivers.. but they are no where near as bad as the other half of the country! Anyone who holds that opinion of Californians obviously needs to get out more. *meaningful glance at Addison* Joy, Tommy, and I noticed once again on our last road trip how crazy the drivers are outside sweet California. Obviously, going 80 mph in the slow lane is not fast enough... ...

As for Californians being most sinful... two things. First off, God said not to judge others lest he judge you more harshly. Secondly, Jesus said not to reprimand your brother for having a splinter in his eye when you have a log in your own eye. Maybe.. just maybe.. you should actually think before judging others.

As for the assumptions about Californian guys and girls... they are pretty much the same as any other state. Whatever you judge them for being, the same is true about any other state. While some girls are indeed sluts and some boys good-for-nothings, the same is true about ANY OTHER STATE as well.

God gave you a brain. Use it.
*glares at Addison*

Lives Lived and Yet to Be

My grandma might be dying soon. My family keeps saying things like, "we need to spend a lot of time with her this year because she might not be around next year." Yeah, I can pick up on "subtle" hints. She has lived her life and is ready to go.

Joy, on the other hand, is living her life. She's in the prime of her life! She will probably not die soon and still no doubt has many dreams to accomplish before she is ready to retire.

Even lower down on the scale of ages is me. I haven't even begun living my life. I'm at the stage of training where a whole bunch of teachers attempt to manipulate my thinking and make me think and do the things that they want.... *maniacal laughter* suckers... ;P

I thought a lot about lives and the living involved this Christmas.

I HAVE MY WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF ME!

what a waste of the first 20 years of my life... pathetic.

Happy Holidays

Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful vacation. Can't wait for school to start again. x__x

It's interesting when something happens that causes you to realize that all the meaning and emphasis on holidays is really put their by people. In reality, Christmas Day is just another day in December. It is the fact that people have special, meaningful feelings and reasons for celebration attached to that particular day that gives it its importance.

Once the people who give it meaning are gone, the day becomes just like any other.
