Cookies and Tomatoes

Too many people treat love like they treat cookies. If they have ten cookies, and ten people they can give it to, they will only give it to a few people. They need some cookes for themselves, and then only their close friends can have the leftovers. In the same way, some people feel that they only have enough love for themselves and their closest friends. What they do not realize is that God made love to be more like tomatoes. My dad grows tomatoes and it seems that no matter how much we give them away we're always stuck with more than we need. We give them to friends, family.. even our neighbors whom we never talk to. And yet, we still have too many! Love is the same way. The more you give it away, the more you find you have. God made love to be shared, not hoarded and only given to those we deem worthy. Love is meant to give to everyone, and as you give it away, you'll be surprised by what a difference it makes in your life and the lives of others.

Yup, you even older than Pauly! The biggest problem with being 2,ooo miles away is that I can't reward you with all your birthday pokes! I would be muchly indebted to anyone who would give Esther her birthday pokes for me. ^_^

To Debrr: The bet has been decided. He has one month to squeeze information out of me. If he fails, he must say whatever I want him to say for five minutes. If he succeeds, I will give him a brownie. I'm sorry to say, however, I have a strange feeling that it will all end on Monday. *mischievous glint* That's all I can say, though.

I'm considering posting something serious, but since today is Esther's bday, I will avoid extreme seriousness. Perhaps tomorrow.

LOL... The other day in afterschool.. well, David Unsworth likes to come in and "play" with the kids... rather violently actually. So, the other day, I finally told him to stop. Heh, he didn't listen to me at first... until...
Me: "Okay, no more touching each other. I know you like to, David, but you need to stop now."
David: "Why don't you just grow up?"
Me: "I am grown up, I'm just in denial."
*dies laughing* *David cracks his knuckles*
Me: "eheheh.. I think I'll go back to my side now" *edges away and hides behind Keith*
lol.. David's so funny. Both Davids are. ^_^ He always acts so tough. However, Nate Siu assured me that he would never hurt a girl. o_O *disbelieving look* oh well...
I actually enjoy it when he comes into afterschool and we have chances to banter back and forth. However, at times, his terrorizing gets a little much.

This morning...

on KDFC, a classical station, they commented that pirate sales have gone up this year. More and more pirate accessories are being purchased especially after this summer's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Pirate costumes are also on the top of most children's wishlists as Halloween is fast approaching.
Mom: "Should we get a pirate costume for our hamster?"
lol... then we tried to come up with a name for a piratey pet hamster...

Too many people spend too much time thinking about all the things that they can't do. They look at a person who can draw well and say "ah.. I feel so stupid. I wish I could draw like that" and proceed to get depressed because they aren't good enough. I know someone like that. She looks at all the accomplishments of others and gets sad, because of all that she cannot do. Instead of getting sad, she should try to improve herself! Instead of despairing, she should hope! Sometimes, she breaks out of her monotony and attempts to improve herself, but soon she falls back into despair as the improvements do not come fast enough. I hope that she may someday find a way out of the vicious cycle.
Seek improvements, not despair!

*sigh*

okay.. well, first of all, killing is not the answer! Just because you don't agree with somebody doesn't mean that you should kill them. So often, people are too selfish to try and think outside their own little box. IDIOTS! IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!!!!! They just don't realize that the world doesn't revolve around them. Just because you feel one way about something doesn't mean its good for everyone else. Like, a lot of people are against Governor Schwarzenegger, but he's drastically helped California! People should stop trying to put down others and instead try to see the good in them.

This story was also on the 11 o'clock news. When they interviewed the mother, she was talking about how she was upset because they wouldn't let her be there when they interviewed her daughter. She said "the girl is only 14! she should have someone she knows there!"
My thought was something to the effect of "Well, you weren't there when she posted it! you probably didn't even know she had a myspace! So, why should you be there when she gets questioned about it?" dude, some parents are seriously dorks.

P.S. In this post, the term dork is not the nice endearing term I use to refer to David and Deborah.. no, it is far different. It is the actual definition from Dictionary.com!

ahh.. the joys of life

I haven't been this mad for over a year. It's the kind of mad where you just want to cry... and completely mutilate something.. or perhaps punch the nearest person. ^_^ (sometimes running until you almost die can help alleviate the... pain). We had this kind of meeting for afterschool to talk about something that had been going on. Well, it was the thing that they were talking about that made me mad. I was walking away after having my say and ended up next to Brendan. I looked up at him...
B: "... You look like you're going to strangle me.."
^_^ lol.. so funny.
I didn't punch or hurt anyone.. but now I'm better. However, I feel even guiltier when I realize that I forgot to tell Harrison Happy Bday yesterday. =(

An Update

--I'm looking down helping someone with his homework... kid throws something--
Me: *looks up* "Pick it up and throw it away."
Kid: "WHOA! How'd you see that!?!"
Me: *evil smile*

ah.. I love my job, even though it's super stressful.

Argh.. my GPA went back down to 4.0 x_x How sad.. when I could have a 4.6. But, don't worry, I'm not too sad about that... it's the best I've ever done before! ^_^ If I keep it at 4.0 I will be happy.

This year.. my life is so busy, but I like it that way. I don't get home until 6-6:30 most nights and have just enough time to eat dinner, do homework, and go to bed. Fridays are my super long days. I stay at school until church starts at 7:30.. so I pretty much don't go home all day until 10 at night. XP It's quite exciting.

I also gave up on a few things.. and determined to improve on other things. I have three friends in particular who are always with me no matter what my decisions. If it is in their power to help me, they do- all the time. I love you three. ^_^ With them, I'm not scared to share my thoughts and feelings.. and I don't mind showing them my secrets. Some of you may know that I like to draw.. those three are the only three I could comfortable show my drawings to because I know that they will not criticize me or put me down.. they will simply help me get better through good advice. It's nice to know that people like that really do exist.. and that I've got THREE of them as my friends. I figure I'm more blessed than a lot of people to get more than one. ^_^

ah.. so much to think about. So much work to do. It's seems that every night when I go to bed I have so much to think about. *sighs* aah.. the joys of highschool drama.
...forget this.. I'll just go take a shower. Sorry for not posting anything serious for a while. I don't think you guys could handle what I'm thinking of writing about. XP Here's something to tide you over... ...not that anyone will read this anyways...
