sometimes.. you long for something so much.. that it hurts.
It consumes you.. filling your thoughts.
It's amazing how little people know. Just think about it. How much to you really know about your friends? about their childhood.. their thoughts.. their dreams.. what they are thinking about as they stare off into space with tears in their eyes.

Well..
...I suppose I should post.
I could write about my terrible week. The thing that made me so mad I felt like crying on Friday... or I could just say that we now have 20 apple dumplings in the freezer.

Sanctuary
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary
Pure and holy,
tried and true
With thanksgiving,
I'll be a living
Sanctuary for You
I think people forget that there is a process involved in preparing.
I wonder how often people actually think about the words that they sing every week.

A shot at being serious for a change.
I'm going to do my best to write something sensible about the attached importance of today. I'm really sorry for all of you who are offended by my lack of seriousness in relation to today. First off, I was so busy today it completely slipped my mind. Secondly.. well.. uuh... it really doesn't mean that much to me.. or maybe I'm just suffering from lack of sleep. oh well.. o_O
As the tower progressed, the people felt a surge of excitement to see the show of their greatness coming together so quickly. However, as their pride grew more and more God looked down in sadness at the people he had created. In an instant their dreams were shattered as all progress was halted and chaos reigned. Their one united kingdom split into millions of smaller ones and the tower was neglected, left to ruin. Even today, thousands of years later, the sad ruins of the neglected tower remain undiscovered.
Humans have this nasty characteristic that constantly shows up called pride. For some reason we can't seem to settle for the fact that there is a God who is in control. Instead, we want to prove ourselves better than God and completely independent and self-sufficient. O foolish world! Can you not see the pain you bring upon yourself by your futile ventures? Can you not see that the Lord God is supreme ruler over all the earth?
Personally, if I'm going to take a class in school, I expect it to be worthwhile. Who wants to take a class about something completely useless? Some may ask, what then is the point of taking history classes? The answer is simple. By studying history, we can learn from the past in order to better the future. Sadly, when we refuse to learn from the past the exact opposite happens- millions of people die...
Year: 1912
The ship Titanic is finally ready to sail. The Titanic was huge and appeared indestructible. One man in a moment of fierce pride declared "the Titanic shall never sink!" The ship sailed off as many people thought proudly of how great mankind was.
The Titanic hit an iceberg at 11:40 pm and sank entirely at 2:20 am killing 1,523 people.
Everyone was shocked! How could this happen? It had such good equipment! It was indestructible wasn't it?!?
Year: 1973
The Twin Towers rose 1368 and 1362 ft into the air. As man looked upon his creation he proclaimed "the twin towers will never fall!"
September 11, 2001
Two hijacked airplanes crashed into the two towers utterly destroying them.
Approximately 3478 deaths in and around the tower. 189 died on the two planes.
When will we ever learn?

All Dayer
Every year, high school gets an entire day off of school for an All- Dayer. It's pretty much a time for class council to humiliate the students with disgusting and embarrassing recreation. Friday, September 8 was our all dayer.
To start out with, we all went to a big park for free time. My friends and I started a game slightly like tag only a lot more fun. We played a few rounds and before we knew it we had only half an hour until lunchtime...
Some of you witnessed or were told about something that happened when I went running/jogging with my cousins + Harrison. Well.. let's just say I happened to look up and there was a big crack in the sidewalk. Add those two things together and you get what happened. I scraped up both my knees, and surprisingly enough my ankle. We got a lot of laughs from that one as we read Proverbs 4 that night.
... The last round! I was chasing my friend Howard in the parking lot(yes, stupid, I know). It's one thing to fall on a nice smooth sidewalk at jogging speed... However, I was going almost top speed on lovely bumpy, stony asphalt...
For last year's(I think) David's birthday party we went ice skating. We are constantly teasing David because he fell and slid on his stomach while on the ice. He seriously looked like a penguin!
...I guess this time it was my turn to be a penguin as I slid on my stomach for a while. I rolled over and sat up, stunned. My friends surrounded me, shocked by the sudden bloodshed. I clenched my teeth and sent one to get a first aid kit as I walked to the bathroom to rinse off. I ran my hands under the water and tried my best to put my hair into order without getting any blood mixed in. I exited the bathroom and walked to the picnic benches where the teachers and first aid kit were. I looked down and finally realized exactly how bloody it really was. An entire side of my knee was ripped up and bloody. It looked like someone had taken a fork and dug right in. Also, both my hands were in pain, though not as much as my knee. Eventually, I had to elevate my knee in order to stop the bleeding. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures soon..
So, here I am.. just hobbling around. My mom's having fun trying to convince me to sit down and put ice on it. x_x

WHEE!
okay.. I couldn't stand it anymore.. so, I taught myself binary. On my links list there is now a link labeled binary. That leads to Howstuffworks.com which explains it quite nicely. I was tempted to write a post in ASCII and translate that into binary, but I have a really important test tomorrow that I should be studying for. >.<

aha.. aha.. ha!
I'm not tired. I'm just laughing like a maniac!

yes yes.. I know it's long, but I'm sure it's very interesting. My mom read it and told me a couple of crazy things. It's about the media.

I really don't get the point of birthdays. I mean, who cares if your turning 15 anyways? It's not anything big like 16 or 18! Nothing even changes except a stupid number in your head! It's not like you feel any different.. weirdos...

I hope you dance
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes,
I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give fate a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their years and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes,
I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
