Isn't that a funny title? =P
So, today I had the most interesting day. It started out okay, that is, until just before lunch recess. All the rest of the kids had left the cafeteria for recess, but I was still waiting for my kids to finish cleaning up. The whole fiasco started when I asked one of the third graders to pick up a napkin and throw it away. He just sat there. I asked him again. He just sat there. I asked him a third time. He just sat there. Finally, I said that if he wasn't going to listen, I would need to bench him. He still just sat there... until one of the other kids picked up the napkin to throw it away. As soon as the other kid was halfway to the garbage, the kid I had asked to throw it away jumped up and ran at the other kid screaming for him to give back the napkin. I can only assume that he was deathly afraid of being benched. The other kid, of course, ignored him and went on to throw it away despite the first kid's protests. So, here I was with a screaming and crying kid, in an almost empty cafeteria, and 13 other kids waiting to go out for recess. I tried for almost ten minutes to get him to settle down and go line up, but to no avail. No matter what I said, I could not make him see reason. He insisted I was yelling at him even though I was talking in a low voice... he claimed I was "always" mean to him... etc, etc, etc. When there were only 5 minutes left for recess, I despaired and sent the other kids out to play while I took him to the classroom to talk and try to settle him down. When we got to the classroom, I tried to talk to him, but it seemed as soon as he was a little bit calmer, he would burst again! It was so aggravating! Then, he started talking about how he wanted to die and wished he had never been born and wanted a knife so he could kill himself. This kid is in third grade, and he's talking like a teenager! Eventually I was like-- this thing is way over my head. I sent another little girl to the office and an administrator came. In case you couldn't tell from the title, the administrator's name is Mr. Edward Yue. I believe he is the elementary principal during the regular schoolyear, but I'm not completely sure. He took the kid to the office and eventually ended up calling the kids parents.
A couple hours later, we were all at last recess before the last enrichment period of the day. The kid who had caused so many problems suddenly appeared, giving me a big hug, toothy grin, and declaring that everything was all right. I was shocked! Here was the same kid that had only a few hours ago had been saying how much he hated me! Now all of a sudden he wants to give me a big hug?!? Well, needless to say, today was an interesting day.
The reason for the strange title? It is to show my appreciation of the administrator that helped me through this. For some reason, every time a kid cries or has a tantrum like what happened today, the person in charge automatically thinks "Oh, no! I did something wrong!" You immediately think that you were the one who was wrong, and not the kid. Mr. Yue made me feel just the opposite as he backed me up and made me look right instead of giving me a guilt trip as some people would have. For some idiotic reason, some people tend to think that the kid is always right and should get whatever he/she wants. Yeah, kids and their parents can get REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, (you get the picture) aggravating. That's why I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY,REALLY, (you really get the picture now ^_^) appreciate it when I meet a parent that acknowledges that their kids aren't perfect and seek to better the child instead of guilt-tripping the T.A. or teacher. I also appreciate leaders like Mr. Yue who seek to make my job more effective and enjoyable for all.

SUMMER!!!!!!
I believe this is the first time I have written about my summer, so here I go. But, before I do that, I have one correction to make. Before, I said that I didn't like classical music. Correction: I like some classical music but I tire of it easily depending on my mood. The reason being, video game music fits more to my moods and feelings than most classical music. There, are you happy now, Harrison?
So, yesterday was the first day of summer school. I'm the afternoon T.A. for 3rd grade and also work for the afterschool program. To be perfectly honest, the 3rd graders are BAD! They never listen... blech! So, my day was very tiring. I am constantly yelling at them.. but I can't yell because of my sore throat!GAH! oh well.. i survived... with only a splitting headache and barely enough energy to remain standing. Hopefully today will be better, or I will bench them all! *glare* It's kind of cool tho, because I get paid to sit through all of their classes... like signing for example. I'm learning sign language! It is sooooo cool! Most of my friends already know sign language, so they try to sign to me sometimes.. but I can never tell what they are saying. I would also like to learn how to read brail.
I am also hoping that I will be able to start running today. I'm supposed to run 600 miles over the course of the summer... I have run 0! My mom doesn't think I should start running yet, but I begged to be allowed at least one mile per day. I'm thinking, maybe later on when I'm not so sick, I can fit in 6 miles a day. I might be able to run 3 miles in the cool morning hours, and 3 miles in the evening... I think that would work alright...

This is something that would have been a comment but it turned out to be too long. This is for you, Joy. I put the date of her post so you all can find it and read it. And now I will tell you a story.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
One day, a little girl with long blonde hair was watching a movie. The movie was about a magnificent superhero called Superman. He had the most wonderful cape and could FLY! The little girl watched with great excitement as he fly in just in time to save a falling woman. When the movie was over, the little girl was determined to fly just as Superman did. She made herself a little red cape and climbed onto the roof ready to jump off. Just then her dad came home and, seeing her, he quickly realized what she was about to do.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm going to fly, daddy" she replied with childish innocence. "Just like Superman does!"
"Darling, you can't fly" he lovingly returned. "It's impossible. Now come down before you get hurt."
"But--"
"No!" Her father yelled. "Come down right this minute! You can't fly!"
She climbed down without another word and went into the house. Never again did she consider flying for she always remembered what her father said. "You can't fly. It's impossible."
Twenty years later, she was married with a golden little girl of her own. One bright spring day, her little girl was watching superman and came up with an idea not unlike the one her mother once had. She went up to her mother and asked for a cape. Suddenly, all the memories came back to her mother and she remembered the day she had wanted to fly. She was about to tell her own daughter what her father had said that day as she was about to jump but stopped herself. She remembered how she had felt as she climbed down and went inside. She had felt lost, broken, and disappointed. The simple lines he had spoken then had stayed with her for the rest of her life. She had never felt quite so confident, always frightened that she was making a mistake and someone was going to come up to her and say "You can't do it."
They walked outside and the mother put the cape on the little girl before helping her onto the roof and walking onto the lawn to wait.
"Mommy," the little girl cried. "Why are you waiting down there? Come and fly with me!"
The childish innocence on her face almost made the mother cry as she thought back to her own childhood.
"Darling," she sagaciously replied. "I am going to wait down here to catch you when you--." She caught herself, "to catch you when you are done flying and ready to come home."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I am sorely tempted to write in an ending... but I think that would ruin it. Each of you much come up with your own, whether happy or sad. I know what I think, but I will not control what you think. Some of you might say "that story is crazy! That would never happen!" No, it probably would never happen, but you never know for sure. I know too much how a few simple words can affect you for the rest of your life. Sometimes, people are too eager to tell you how impossible it is to do instead of trying to help you accomplish more. Think about it next time you are about to tell someone that they can't do something.

My friends call me...
...and egg. They think that I'm white on the outside and Chinese on the inside. One of the traits of Chinese people in general is that they try not to waste. Yesterday, we ate lunch at Taco Bell and ordered a Grande Meal for five of us. We had one burrito left over, which we saved of course for later. We also had a thing of nachos. Those we did not finish. I said we should save them. Why waste all those yummy nachos? What a waste of good food and good money! But, alas, it was not to be. We threw them away. *doleful look*
Another time, a little farther back, my mom, dad, and I stopped at Taco Bell to eat lunch before we went to IKEA to shop. I had chips and cheese appetizer thingy and ran out of cheese. My dad said that I should go order another little thing of cheese for 29 cents. I declined claiming that it was a waste of 29 cents and I could do very well without a little more cheese. Of course, both my parents thought I was crazy and gave me "the look." So I offered my dad another option...
"But if you want to give ME the 29 cents then.. well, that's just fine!"
I got another look.. but no 29 cents. :(
So, what do you all think... am I an egg or not?

Thank you all!
I'm feeling a lot better! And I want to thank you all for your help. Not doubt, my telepathic mind picked up on your love and hugs and it helped me recover faster. I'm still a little sick, but it's really not that bad.
Last night was a lot of fun. I have this song that I've been wanting to hear, but could not play both parts since I only had two hands and the song called for three. So, Joy and I attempted to play it last night. By the time we finished, we were both dying laughing. It was so much fun. I'm glad my sister is home.
Actually, I'm sad to say I might not be coming to Missouri this year. I'm sure you guys won't be too disappointed. ^_^

Les Miserables
Well, I don't know exactly what the title means... but it has the word miserable in it and that's good enough for me. I really don't feel like doing this, but I figure you guys deserve to know what's going on. Right now I feel really miserable. I have a fever, my throat hurts like crazy, my stomach hurts like crazy, and I had the weirdest dream last night. Actually, the dream was okay ^_^ I have never met a dream I didn't like. Anyways, I feel like dying. Last night, I was freezing cold... then I put my hand on my legs and was like "WHOA! My legs are really warm." So, I was really warm, but had goosebumps. GAH! Yeah... so all I've really been doing is sleeping, reading, and killing brain cells by playing maple story. I hope noone else gets sick this bad!!!

"I Love Lucy"
Today, I watched an episode of I LOVE LUCY titled The Saxaphone. In it, Ricky is going away with the band for three weeks, and of course Lucy wants to go along. Ricky is in bad need of a saxophone player so Lucy decides to audition. Obviously, Ricky still refuses to let her go so Lucy comes up with a wonderful idea. She takes Fred's old hat and gloves and leaves them laying around. When Ricky comes home, he'll think.. well, you can guess ^_^ and he won't dare leave her home alone for three weeks. Sadly, her plan backfires when Fred ends up alone in the room with Ricky. He sees his hat and gloves and Ricky finds out the whole plan (Fred had not known about the plan...). So Ricky comes up with his own plan, he has some guys (4 to be exact) hide in the closet and gets Lucy to open the closet. Of course she tries to hide the fact that there is a man (for she only sees one) in the closet. Eventually they all come out and she runs out screaming with them close on her heels. The scene ends with Ricky dying with laughter.
When the apartment reappears, we see Fred and his wife sitting on the couch as Ricky paces the room, apparently worried. We soon find out that Lucy has not returned yet! The phone rings and Ricky rushes to it in a panic. The caller is the person Ricky had called earlier in the movie to send over the four men. The caller tells Ricky he was sorry he couldn't get ahold of him earlier but he couldn't get a hold of anyone to go over there. Ricky pauses, and the meaning slowly sinks in... The scene fades out as Ricky pulls out his hair in grief... then the scene appears in the callers office where we see Lucy, the four men, and the caller congratulating themselves on a prank well pulled.
You guys really should see it, it's really funny.

<(^.^)> KIRBY!!!
Funny joke told to me by my friend:
There are four people on a sinking boat. The people are a Chinese, French, Mexican, and an American. The people start throwing stuff off to prevent the boat from sinking. The Chinese starts to throw off toys, and when he was asked why, he said, "we have a lot fot hem back in China." The French started throwing off wines, and when he was asked why, he said, "We have a lot of them in France." Then the American threw off the Mexican.
Fanfic written by some of my very good friends:
Somewhere in Midgar-- Tifa is in grave danger. Sephiroth has taken Tifa as a bargaining chip to get a private meeting with Aerith. Sephiroth will promise not to harm Tifa or Aerith for the time being- or so he says. No one trusts the Great White-Haired One, though, so AVALANCHE is confused about what to do. They can't leave Tifa to die in the hands of Sephiroth, but they can't risk sending Aerith, the last of the Ancients, to her death... so... Cloud decides to try to rescue Tifa. In doing so, he would risk his life, but at least Tifa's and Aerith's lives would be safe- momentarily, at least. So, Cloud built up his courage and went to find Sephy. He went through dangerous obstacles and finally came to Sephy's lair! He opened the door and saw Tifa tied up to a chair. She was breathing, but barely. Sephy walked out from the shadows behind Tifa. He had an evil smile on his face as he said, "so.. our chocobo head 'HERO' has decided to show up after all. Are you ready to die?" Cloud retorted, "Speak for yourself, white-haired old man. Now give her back!" Sephy pretends to think. "Hmm.. how 'bout no. Let me have the pleasure of taking away what is most important to you." By now, both of them had their swords drawn. Then, without warning, they striked. The sound of sword clashing against sword echoed across the cave. Sparks flew up, illuminating the shadows. Suddenly, Cloud felt searing pain tear through his chest as he froze in shock. Rage rose in his eyes and he yelled "I won't go down that easily!" Sephy laughed and vanished. Cloud became anxious, as out of nowhere, Sephy appeared behind him and slashed him. Cloud felt a jolt of pain and fell. He felt himself drifting off and everything became a black void.
"Aye wake up. wake up!!"
"Alright, that's it, WAKE UP before I whack you with your own sword!!"
"mmroomph..." Cloud forced his eyes open. His first thought was, "Oh, snap.. am I dead?" Then he saw Zack, his old buddy that was supposedly dead.
"Of course you're not, silly" said Zack.
"uh... Where am I? and stop reading my thoughts. You're scaring me" said Cloud.
"In the lifestream." Zack replied cooly.
"..."
"I'm here to tell you that your work out there is not yet done. You still have to go back and save Tifa. Can't you see that the poor damsel in distress needs a knight in shining armor to save her?" explained Zack.
"I can't save anyone. Not family, not friends" Cloud said disconsolately.
"Well, she's neither, 'cause she's your childhood crush, now go and save her already instead of dawdling here and talking!" Zack teased.
A hint of blush appeared on Cloud's cheeks. "How do you know that?"
"It's cause I'm smart" said Zack, looking quite smug.
"Yeah, ri-" But Cloud never got to finish his sentence as he got sent back to Sephy's cave.
Sephy stood over Cloud's fallen body, staring down at it and laughing evilly. "Heheheh.. thought you could beat me huh? Never!" Sephy turned to Tifa to laugh at her helplessness. Then without warning, Cloud sprang up and performed omnislash on Sephy. Sephy growled in pain, clutching at his chest. Any person would have died on the spot, but this was Sephy, He spluttered.. "Wh-what.. you're supposed to be dead!" Cloud was too determined to kill him to reply. He then followed up with a blade beam. This time, Sephy was prepared, but not quite. The beam grazed his side. Sephy looked down at it and that was enough for Cloud. Cloud rushed up and struck Sephy through the heart. As Sephy's body fell, a spirit form of him floated up with his single black wing wrapped around it. It said, " I will not become a memory." With that, it disappeared.
Cloud, shocked that he had defeated Sephiroth, stared down at the lifeless body that was disintigrating into the lifestream. It was only then that he remembered that he was here to save someone "Tifa!" he half-shouted. He sprinted toward Tifa and quickly untied her. She was so weak that she could not support herself. As she fell into Cloud's arms, she whispered his name faintly. Cloud leaned down to kiss her fully on the lips. Although Tifa was weak, she was still aware of her surroundings and started to respond to the kiss. After a while, they both needed air and broke apart. Cloud spoke first, "Tifa.. i'm sorry it took me so long to realize it, but I-I- love-" *ring ring* Cloud's PHS rang. Blushing, Cloud answered the phone. "Hello? CLoud had to hold the phone one foot away from his ear as it was Yuffie who was talking. "OH MY GOODNESS! SPIKEY HEAD! ARE YOU OKAY? ARE YOU ALIVE? WHERE'S TIFA? WHAT HAPPENED?" CLoud answered. "I'm fine.. but Tifa can't walk so can you tell Cid to sent the airship over?" after Cloud was done telling Yuffie the directions, Tifa spoke weakly, "so.. what were you going to say?" Blushing madly Cloud mumbled, "I-I-love you.." With a satisfied smile on her face, Tifa pulled his head down for another passion-filled kiss. ^_^
What can I say.. both my friend and I like romance ^_^ Where would the world be without true romance *hearts everywhere*
